The SnowPro™ is a versatile snow rake that allows you to push or pull snow from your roof.

The unique feature is that The SnowPro™ can adjust to your roof valleys, a task that’s impossible with conventional straight roof rakes. Also if trying to clear roof valleys with a conventional rake, you can easily damage your shingles.

Ice Dams

Ice dams are a buildup of ice on the edge of the roof forming a ridge. Snow will melt above the ice ridge where the warmer air in the attic heats the roof. As the ice builds up, and snow continues to melt, the water will collect and eventually flow under the shingles and into the house damaging walls, ceilings and insulation.

Key indicators of ice dam formation are icicles on the edge of the roof and ice filled gutters. These are the early warning signs that ice is building up. The easiest way to prevent ice dams and the damage they cause, is to remove the snow along the edge of the roof and in the valley areas where two roofs meet.

The SnowPro™ is made from a high density poly material, which is strong and gentler on your shingles than conventional snow rakes. The SnowPro™  adjustable snow rake can also be easily adapted to many pole types, some requiring a small amount of retrofitting.

The SnowPro adjustable snow rake comes with a set of instructions and tips on using your rake.

Instructions

The SnowPro™, the adjustable snow rake, can be adjusted to conform to your roof valley. To adjust the blades of The SnowPro™, simply loosen the PVC hub and place in your roof valley to set the angle. Once your angle is set, lower your rake and securely tighten the PVC hub.

Tip: Once you have the angle set, draw a line along the blade so that you can quickly return the rake to the proper angle for your roof valley without having to put it on the roof again.

The SnowPro™ is sold without a pole but is easily adaptable to most poles with a small amount of retrofitting. If you don't already have a pole to retrofit, the most economical pole option is to purchase 1/2 inch diameter conduit for less than $3.00 per 10 foot section. Add additional sections with the use of 1/2 inch couplings.

Note: Pole length should not exceed 20 feet.

The illustrations below will show how easy it is to retrofit the conduit to The SnowPro™.

Use the enclosed 1/2 inch coupling and attach it to the 3/4 inch connector as shown. Once fastened securely, insert the 1/2 inch conduit into the coupling and tighten securely.
